BTS

What does BTS mean?

Bangtan Sonyeondan

BTS is a hit Korean boy band, and the initials stand for “Bangtan Sonyeondan.” This phrase means “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” when translated into English. They’re also known as the “Bangtan Boys.” In 2017, they added another meaning to BTS, “Beyond The Scene.”

The band has seven members: Jin, Suga, V, Jimin, RM, J-Hope, and Jungkook. It was created in 2010 and first appeared in 2013 as a hip-hop group, but soon expanded to other music styles.

BTS is a significant part of the Hallyu, or Korean wave, that took place in the 2010s. This was a time when South Korean pop culture became popular worldwide. Kpop was a big part of this trend, and BTS was one of its main acts. Other popular Kpop acts include Exo, Big Bang, iKON, Seo Taiji & Boys, Girls’ Generation, G.Soul, and Mamamoo.

BTS is now one of the biggest music groups globally. They have a very loyal fan base, known as the ARMY, and have had many hit songs. Some of their most popular songs include “Dynamite,” “Savage Love,” “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance.”
