DDSOS

What does DDSOS stand for?

Different day, same old stuff

DDSOS is a slang phrase used to voice out irritations about daily annoyances. Say, for example, you’re dealing with a persisting computer glitch at your desk, you might text your colleague, “DDSOS. Can’t log in. Off to lunch.”

The term is a play on the SOS (same old stuff) acronym that is commonly used in text messages, online chats, and on social media platforms. Instances where you might drop a DDSOS could be when you’re ranting about a pesky neighbor who never stops griping, or a flatmate who habitually leaves a sink full of dirty plates, or a friend who’s always in an on-again-off-again relationship, or even a toddler who has a meltdown at every mealtime.

But take note, the second “S” in DDSOS could also represent an expletive starting with “s”, so think about who you’re sending a DDSOS to.

Example for using ‘DDSOS’ in a conversation

Hey, guess what happened today?

What’s up?

DDSOS. My boss gave me another impossible deadline.

Ugh, that’s frustrating. I feel you.
