What does FBM stand for?

Fine by me

When someone uses the term FBM, it’s their way of saying they don’t mind whatever it is you’re proposing. It’s another way of saying “Okay, go for it” or “Sure, it’s fine”.

It’s a casual term and is generally used when the person doesn’t have a strong opinion either way. You’ll hear it a lot when someone has asked for approval on something, and the other person is pretty indifferent about it.

Take for example, you’re texting your friend John about what to eat for lunch. You suggest grabbing some burgers and John responds with FBM. This means that John is okay with your suggestion, but he’s not particularly excited or thrilled about it. It’s just fine by him.

Example for using ‘FBM’ in a conversation

Hey, are you free to hang out tonight?

FBM! What did you have in mind?

I was thinking we could grab dinner and catch a movie.

Sounds good to me! FBM, let’s do it!
