What does Juice mean?

Control and sway

When someone is said to have ‘Juice’, it means they hold a significant amount of influence or sway. This influence could come in many forms, such as respect, success, control, attractiveness, popularity, or power.

The term became a part of common language in the early 1990s, thanks to the movie ‘Juice’ and the hip hop/rap music scene. Those with ‘Juice’ can make things happen that regular folks can’t. For instance, they may be able to gain entry to in-demand concerts, be invited to high-profile gatherings, and get freebies.

However, having ‘Juice’ isn’t always a bed of roses. It’s important to be aware of friends who could have hidden agendas and might just be trying to take advantage of your influence or success. These people are often referred to as leeches or clout chasers.

Example for using ‘Juice’ in a conversation
