What does RATM stand for?

Rage Against The Machine

Commonly known as ‘RATM’, Rage Against the Machine is a rock band from California that was formed back in 1991. Fans often use ‘RATM’ or simply ‘Rage’ to refer to the band.

The band consists of lead singer Zack de la Rocha, bassist and second vocalist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello, and drummer Bard Wilk. RATM is well-recognized for its impact on the nu metal music style.

They are known for a number of hit songs that resonated with a wide audience. However, in 2000, the band members decided to go their separate ways. Commerford, Morello, and Wilk went on to form Audioslave with singer and guitarist Chris Cornell.

After a seven-year hiatus, Rage announced in 2007 that they would be reuniting for a tour. Since then, the band has been playing together off and on.
