SNERT

What does SNERT stand for?

Snot nosed egotistical rude teenager

SNERT is a slang acronym often used to describe a pesky or rude teenager. It’s commonly used in texts or instant messages when talking about an adolescent who’s acting out or being disrespectful.

Imagine you’re on a bus and some youngster decides to blast their music without any regard for other passengers. You might text your pal saying, “I might just jump off this bus if this SNERT doesn’t turn down his awful music.”

Or you might be reflecting on your own past behavior, admitting, “I can’t believe how much of a SNERT I was to my math teacher. She truly had the patience of a saint.”

But let’s not be too harsh on these young ones. The teenage years can be tough, and we’ve all probably been there ourselves. Remember, we were all probably a bit of a SNERT at one point during our adolescence.

Example for using ‘SNERT’ in a conversation

Ugh, there’s this SNERT on the bus blasting music again. So annoying! 😑

I feel you! They need to learn some manners. πŸ™„

Tell me about it! I remember being a SNERT myself, but I didn’t go around disturbing everyone. πŸ˜…

Haha, yeah, we all had our moments. But some of these teens take it to another level. 😀
