Aspd

What does Aspd mean in League of Legends?

Attack speed

In the gaming world, particularly the popular game League of Legends, the term ‘Aspd’ stands for ‘attack speed’. It is used to measure the frequency of a player’s character, or champion’s basic attacks. The duration between these attacks is measured in seconds.

A player’s aspd is typically capped at a maximum of 2.5 attacks per second. This means, a player’s champion can’t perform more than 2.5 attacks within a single second, no matter how high their aspd may be.

However, a champion’s aspd isn’t fixed. It can be increased in a variety of ways, such as through leveling up, purchasing items, using runes, obtaining buffs, and applying masteries. All these strategies can be used to boost the champion’s attack frequency.

Not only champions, but certain items or abilities might also have an ‘aspd’ stat on them. This stat specifically enhances the attack speed of the player who uses or equips them.

Lastly, ‘Aspd’ isn’t the only term used to refer to attack speed. Other abbreviations like ‘ats’ and the acronym ‘AS’ can also be used interchangeably to mean the same thing.

Hey, have you seen my new League of Legends champion?

Yeah, who’d you get?

I got Jinx! Her ASpd is insane!

ASpd? What’s that?

ASpd stands for attack speed. It’s how fast your champion can attack.

Oh, got it. So Jinx can attack really quickly then?

Exactly! Her ASpd is so high, she can unload a ton of damage in a short amount of time.

That’s awesome! I need to try her out.
