Let’s take an example. Suppose you make a post on Reddit asking, “Who is the best superhero?” A fellow Reddit user might reply, “IMHO, it’s Batman.” This simply means that, according to the person replying, Batman is the best superhero.
However, the term IMHO is usually used by people who are open-minded. They use IMHO to express their personal opinion, but they are also open to hearing what others think and are willing to change their opinion if they are wrong. So, when someone says IMHO, it might not be their final word on the topic, but it’s their honest opinion at that moment.
