In my infallible opinion
IMIO is an acronym that translates to “in my infallible opinion.” It’s a more arrogant version of IMO and is often used when someone is about to share a strong or controversial view.
But don’t be fooled, not everyone who uses IMIO thinks they’re always right. Many times, friends and colleagues use IMIO as a joke among themselves, adding the extra I for a dash of sarcasm.
If you’re looking to express your thoughts more modestly, or perhaps more truthfully, you could use IMHO instead. For those who want to come across as even more pompous, there’s always IMAO or IMSO.
Example for using ‘IMIO’ in a conversation
